Mkulima Mbunifu Magazine

Mkulima Mbunifu is a monthly agricultural magazine supported by Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) through its Farmer Communication Programme (FCP) and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT). Launched in 2011 with support from the Biovision Foundation for Ecological Development, the project reaches approximately 72,000 farmers every month, promoting Ecologically Sustainable Agriculture (ESA) to improve the social, economic, and environmental livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, and Tanga regions of Tanzania.

The Mkulima Mbunifu magazine provides practical information on soil fertility management, pest and disease control, harvesting, value addition, marketing, and agricultural policy, aligned with BvAT's 4H thematic areas—Plant Health, Animal Health, Human Health, and Environmental Health. Each month, 15,000 copies are distributed to farmer groups, extension officers, NGOs, CBOs, schools, higher learning institutions, agricultural organizations, and individual farmers, with the readership database continuously updated to expand its reach.
