Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2009 by the Biovision Foundation for ecological development. We are committed to a food secure Africa through sustainable agriculture.

To alleviate poverty and improve the livelihoods of rural communities in Africa through disseminating relevant agricultural information to smallholder farmers and supporting like-minded organisations and institutions.

Coordinating impact across the continent
Headquartered in Nairobi, BvAT coordinates major projects across Eastern Africa. Our footprint extends to Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and beyond, supporting the African Union’s EOA Initiative.
Lead coordinating agency for the KCOA knowledge hub in Trust Africa.
Implementing EOA programmes across 9 African nations.

OUR JOURNEY
Our History
Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) is a not-for-profit organisation established in Kenya in 2009 by the Biovision Foundation for ecological development in Switzerland.
Against a background of inadequacy in food security systems, BvAT started its operations in 2011 in Kenya, working with smallholder farmers to increase agricultural production and improve human, animal, plant, and environment health through research-based information.
